Why Breath?
The Power of a Healing Breath
Quite literally, we all need it to live. That may sound simple, but it allows us to focus on why controlling and harnessing the power of your healing breath is so incredible. As it is essential for life, breathing is also completely free! It is a tool and practice that is accessible to everyone, whenever they want or need it. Breathing feels great, expansive, and cleansing.
You can breathe, as is, and find it refreshing and restorative.
OR...You can also breathe - in a partnership with your body, spirit, The Divine, and contribute to your intentions and voluntary adjustments (we’ll work on this wording) to make it how you want to make it…whether to increase your energy, reawaken/revitalize (certain type of breathing) or to create space, find calm, slow down
You can also breathe - in a partnership with your body, your spirit, The Divine, while contributing to your intentions. This gives you the ability to make voluntary adjustments to craft your experience and perspective to how you want to make it. Whether you’d like to to increase your energy, reawaken and revitalize your spirits or to simply create space, find calm, slow down, your breath serves as an incredibly powerful tool.
I like to think that the power of breath is encapsulated into 4 categories:
Healing
A consistent breathing practice helps you heal from medical conditions as it accelerates the detoxification process. It also allows you to repair and restore from psycho-emotional pain, which is why so many therapists and mindfulness experts begin their practices with breathwork.
Creating Connection
While many may consider breathing to be an internal part of our bodies and a very personal, intimate part of ourselves, it also helps us to create connections. Breathing with others syncs your hormones, while singing, humming, or even simply speaking with someone else is how you build lasting relationships.
Spiritual Sustenance
Breathing is what connects us to the earth, the universe, and the divine. The “breath of life” is how humans became humans. Regardless of your belief system, breathing is how you wake up every day, how you speak, laugh, cry, and sing. Breathing is spiritual sustenance for all of us.
Increasing Producitivity
This is probably why many of you are here - how can I find more calm and increase my productivity? A breathing practice can help you focus, it improves your exercise tolerance and optimizes your outcomes and endurance. While breathing is the basis of life, it is also a form of biohacking your body to get it functioning at its best.
“Breathing in, I calm my body. Breathing out, I smile. Dwelling in the present moment, I know this is a wonderful moment. ”

Why is Breath Such a Gift?
I love breathing - of course I do. Part of my role is to help more people experience and embody the power of this incredible tool. Why?
Because it is so powerful and the dividends are many in return on investment
Because it is how we sing
We do not have to think about it
Unlike other gifts which may seem scarce - breathing is abundant, it is everywhere and you cannot use it up!
